A Christian Perspective on the DNC

The Democratic National Convention is over, and much to the chagrin of the game makers, power brokers, and pundits — So is any momentum they hoped to garner. Despite the highly produced, carefully choreographed moments, it was a forgettable event. Where are the lasting quotes from Barack, Bill, Michelle, and Hil? More strangely, why did Harris and Walz appear, at times, to be speaking from a republican campaign list?
Despite the deafening yelps and sea of signs, there wasn’t much meat on the bone.
While the performers delivered their lines, the lasting memories were being made outside the arena, not within. Planned Parenthood parked an Abortion Bus down the road from the event. Details are difficult to confirm, but Planned Parenthood workers said that all available appointments were filled, 10 abortions were performed on day one, and 15 on day two.
Pro-choice advocates at the event said that doctors were not performing abortions but rather “The ending of pregnancies” induced by the abortion pill (Mifepristone and Misoprostol.) Laying aside the slyly crafted messaging, ending a pregnancy is an abortion. If there is any doubt, statistics reveal that almost 60% of abortions today are performed using these chemically lethal pills — And Molech doesn’t care what you call it.
Despite the well-buttressed perimeter of security around the arena, before the first speaker took the mic on the first day, Free Gaza protesters fought with police, broached the fencing, and wreaked havoc outside the venue. It was a surprising development as this was the convention of the party that has enjoyed the support of the violent protester voting block for years.
If these slogan warriors truly cared, they would know one thing: The only way to Free Gaza is to Free Gaza From Hamas.
While speaker after speaker on the platform groped at new ways to insult Trump, seismic detections of a mounting tsunami hinted that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was close to endorsing Trump. And sure enough, the day after the convention ended, RFK Jr. suspended his campaign, endorsed Donald Trump, and talks of a cabinet position were underway.
The timing of this was devastatingly sublime. The Democrats were hoping to ride their kiddy-pool-sized wave coming off the made-for-TV convention, but Bobby pulled the cork from their pool — The same pool he swam in his entire life. When a lifelong Democrat tries to run as a Democrat but is rejected by Democrats, it would be wise to listen closely to his words.
Policy platforms aside, the joining of arms by these two populist leaders further strengthens two men who refuse to be controlled by the globalist establishment: And their aim is to dismantle it.
If you have ever wanted to pray for the physical protection of two public figures, these are the two, and the time is now.
Live Not By Lies
Regarding the Pinocchio Meter, the DNC speech writers routinely circumvented readily available facts and predictably foisted the same bevy of worn-out, proven-false claims repeatedly. Bleach injections, insurrection embellishments, suckers and losers, fine people on both sides, school books aren’t porn, and national abortion bans achieved top billing over the four-night affair. IFA Contributing Writer Belinda Brewster wrote an excellent article about it, and you should certainly read it.
Far more bewildering were the lies hidden in plain sight. When Kamala Harris states she represents the party of law enforcement, every head should tilt like a sparrow on the sill. Hers is the party that publicly marched to Defund Police while Harris personally dropped charges and arranged bail for violent protesters, looters, and vandals.
As riots erupted and cities burned across the country after George Floyd died, Harris said of the Antifa and BLM hooligans, “They’re not gonna stop. They are not going to let up — and they should not.”
She next warned that if Trump is elected, consumer prices will go up. Since her party took office, the cost of essential goods has increased by double-digit percentages while real wages are down almost 3%. Even more head-tilting was to hear her boast of how vital a secure border is. She pretended that Biden’s Executive Orders during his first week in office didn’t make the border less safe and that the failed Bi-partisan Border Bill would have been more effective than enforcing the immigration laws already on the books.
But the coup de grâce was hearing their revisionist history around Covid. As if our brains had been wiped clean like an Etch-a-Sketch, they said it was the Democrats who fought to reopen schools during Covid when, in fact, it was the Democrats who publicly mocked and shamed Republican Governors who did open their schools early.
The Covid curtain call came when Harris promised they would “Defeat Big Pharma!” The Biden mandates resulted in countless government employees fired and military personnel relieved of duty, and they coined the phrase “Pandemic of the unvaccinated.” The last reports indicate that Harris and Biden rolled their sleeves up six times for every shot and booster. It appears Big Pharma enjoyed a lucrative global market under the Democrat’s marketing machine. That’s quite a defeat, indeed.
The heart-wrenching observation is that our government officials are quite comfortable lying to our faces. If you don’t care for Trickle-down Economics, according to Adonai, Trickle-down Deception is far more pernicious.
If a ruler listens to lies, all his ministers will be wicked.
~ Proverbs 29:12
How Shall Christians Proceed?
We all have political leanings, personality preferences, and moral standards. While neither party can legislate sin out of people’s hearts, how government leaders rule directly impacts the lives of the citizenry.
When the righteous become numerous, the people rejoice. When the wicked rule, the people groan.
~ Proverbs 29:2
I have written extensively explaining why preachers should be so confident in their biblical formularies that they can readily share their beliefs with their congregation on critical topics like culture, politics, and education. If any reluctance is rooted in the fear of losing congregants or offending someone, then I would have serious questions about the health of that community of faith.
How can we achieve unity in the Body of Christ around these desperately divisive topics?
The First Century, post-resurrection Church, as described in the Book of Acts, should always be our plumb line. The scriptures hold a profoundly beautiful Greek word for the unity our First Century Church community enjoyed:
Day by day, continuing with one mind in the temple courts and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart . . .
~ Acts 2:46
Some translations interpret this rarely-used Greek word as “in one accord,” while others translate it as “with one mind.” We often confuse unity with uniformity or unanimity, but when the Church in Acts is called united, our best word picture describes them as a symphonic orchestra.
In an orchestra, each instrument, musician, seat placement, and page of the score are distinct and uniquely different. But as all eyes are placed on The Conductor and each player releases their gift, the combined sum of the parts creates a glorious, transcendently harmonic, soul-moving sound that would not be possible save each piece were playing the proper part at the proper time.
From a modern church perspective, senior leadership must be unified in their beliefs before any real sense of unity can take root in the community. If there is fear of offending, that is most likely not a statement on the congregation but on the remnants of division among the pastors.
. . . praising God and having favor with all the people.
~ Verse 47a
When the Church is in daily unity, it will have favor with all the people. Favor with all the people. Yes, some may leave, which must be acceptable because the prevailing principle of supreme importance is that the Church be of one mind. When that happens, you won’t be worrying about subtraction because you’ll be marveling at the addition:
. . . And the Lord added daily to the Church those who were being saved.
~ Verse 47b
What does this have to do with the DNC, the RNC, or the elections? Everything. The Christian faith can not be a Sunday morning biosphere experiment that we enter and exit at will. We have been given the mind of Christ and we know this: The mind of Christ is not divided. We have also been charged to know His will, receive His righteousness, and release the Kingdom everywhere we go.
The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.
The Lord does not disengage for fear of offending someone, and neither should we.
When the righteous become numerous, the people rejoice.
